I was co-director of the Carnegie Mellon | Portugal Professional Masters of Human-Computer Interaction (August 2009 - Jan 2012). Co-directorship held with Jenna Date (Carnegie Mellon University).

I was vice president of Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (June 2011 - Feb 2012).

I served on the scientific council of the Exact and Engineering Sciences Compentence Centre at the University of Madeira (Fall 2011).
